Macrofun was a series of vinyl 10"s which was released on Microcosm Music. Each record featured two tracks, with a different artist on each side, and collectively spanned a gamut of the label, from quirky techno to housey abstractions, groovy dubbed workouts to melodic meanderings, and even one drum 'n' bass track. They each came in identical sleeves, a street scene unto itself, and featured new art on each side's label, remaining within the visual theme of the project. All the illustrations and design was done by CEDE, with help from Soundadvice on the center label art.
The series featured music by Someone Else, Socks and Sandals, Ezekiel Honig, Miskate, Krill.minima, saidsound, Captain Campion, Ditch, Tundra, and Nicholas Sauser. All the tracks are in the streaming player on the right. The vinyl is out of print but I have the remaining few copies. Getting this series together was one of the greatest joys for the label so far, the freedom to build something with limits, with the talents of friends and co-conspirators, to explore new musical ideas and know exactly where they belonged...
